You see the need in the students you teach. The people you coach. The statistics you read.
But you don’t have the time to help everyone.
And they don’t have the money to hire you.
If only you could help them overcome those hurdles.
I know—you’re busy! You consult, teach, coach, care for others, and do many other jobs.
It’s hard enough to keep up with your work and create content for your newsletter, social media, or Substack. Why would you write a book?
Because a book is a unique tool. It’s an attractive, affordable container packed with powerful information. People can tuck it in their backpack, read it on the train, and pass it on to friends.
They have concrete benefits. They will:
A bad book can’t do any of these things. You need a good book, one that resonates with your readers.
Say what? Maybe you’re thinking, “Not only do I have to write a book, but it must be GOOD?”
Yup. A good book will:
+Focus on a hot topic with multiple hooks to draw in your reader. In Braiding Sweetgrass, Robin Wall Kimmerer braids together multiple strands: experiences connecting with nature, botany, Native American myths and stories, and her own experience.
+Be organized in a way that resonates with your audience. In How to Keep House While Drowning, K. C. Davis presents her information in short, simple chapters to support frazzled readers.
+Be marketable. Your book needs to appeal to a group of people you can define and quantify. In 2003, at the beginning of the internet age, Seth Godin wrote Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable to people frustrated by finding marketing challenging. As an entrepreneur he knew all too well how difficult the market could be.
That seems like a lot. Especially when you’re already overwhelmed.
That’s why you need an expert guide to take you through the process.
